I’ve said it a number of times.  I love Deal or No Deal.  In the attempt at the American Dream - winning a million dollars, another contestant declines the use of common sense.  With 8 cases remaining, Idiot has (3) million dollar cases remaining.  Her offer is 266,000.  Her equity is 375,000.  Not so good.  However, she emphasized her struggles with money.  She wants to buy a house and send her daughter to college.  It was a sob fest basically.  Idiot is offered an incentive.  If she kisses a frog, her offer will be doubled to 532,000.  I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it for myself.  She declined!!!  I would have eaten the frog on stage for 532,000.  Idiot, on the other hand, wanted to win a million dollars.  Instead, she won 166,000.  Good game.

Flow - the state in which people are so involvedin an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will do it even at great cost, for the sheer sake of doing it

It’s been quite a long time, but I’ve finally revisted this sacred psychological mindset.  A flow experience is an epiphany.  It is a clear mental state of mind.  For as long as I am in flow, I cannot do wrong.  As I have said many times to my students, “Find a groove and go with the flow.”

I’m on a roll.  Actually, at the moment, I’m on fire, winning nearly $5,000 in the last 6 days.  I’ve been playing .50/1.00 through 2/4.  Lets not jinx it.  Probably going skiing before the Super Bowl, so I won’t play tomorrow and I’m driving home on Monday.  I went skiing with Matt today.  It’d bee a while since I’d see so much snow in Lake Tahoe.  The wind was not very pleasant, but the conditions were outstanding.  Snow is currently falling from the sky.  Conditions should be incredible tomorrow.  If all goes as planned, a few hours of skiing, little clean-up prior to the Super Bowl, lots of drinking, Patriots 35-13 and lots of drinking.

I’ve seen a fair share of idiotic moments on Wheel of Fortune.  However, todays occurrence is the stupidest moment in the history of the show.  It’s Teen’s Best Friends week and a female tandem was quite the team.  I don’t care if they are in high school.  This was outright hilarious.  They were in the lead with the last puzzle left to be solved.  Pat spun the wheel one last time.  He spun $5,000.  With the additional $1,000 automatically added, each consonant was worth $6,000.  The category was event.  It was there turn to pick a consonant.  They were so keyed up that they solved before picking a consonant.  The puzzle was ‘Shopping Spree.’  Guess what letter was yet to have been picked?  You guessed it!  ‘P’ was still available.  They were so excited they forgot to pause to think a moment for $18,000 before solving the puzzle.  They won $30,000 in the final round anyways, but this was the the funniest moment I have ever witnessed in Wheel of Idiots.  Good game, girls!
