Oh, Lawrence indeed.  Kansas lost to K. State today.  This occurrence hasn’t happened since the year I was born, 1983.  I couldn’t witness the tragedy for myself, as the game wasn’t on ESPN in California.  I did, however, see some sneak, albeit awful, peaks while at dinner.  I guess all is not lost, but I would have rather lost to another foe than K. State.  I am currently sporing a ‘ROQ CHLK’ license plate on the Corolla.  It was quite the look.

The FTOPs is right around the corner.  I am considering entering a brief coma in efforts to not continue with a nasty streak in the FTOPS and WCOOP.  LAPC is also in full swing.  I’m going to visit next week to visit some friends.  If February goes as planned, I’ll play the last satellite into the main event.  The satellite is on a Friday and the main event starts the next day.  Until then, I’ll be grinding away.  I’m going to Lake Tahoe on Friday for a couple days of skiing and a Super Bowl party.  Although I lost the annual bet to Reed, I picked nearly 60% winners, picking 3 games a week throughout the entire football year.  I was quite impressed with my accuracy but not the $1,500 I shipped to Reed.  The other $500 was for the smoking bet.  With the $500 covering my brother’s bet, Reed turned it into 19k, obv.. He won the 109 6-max and a 75 tournament on FT among other cashes.  What a champ!  Anyways, in regards to the Super Bowl, lets go with the Patriots.  Don’t bother sweating -11.5 pts.  This bet isn’t going to lose.

It wouldn’t be proper without a broken New Years’ Resolution.  I completely mind-fucked myself in the last three days.  I was on a roll, winning nearly $10,000 in a mere month, but I have lost $7,000 in the initial four days of 2008.  Basically, I’m an idiot.  I under-achieved in 2007, but the year ended with high hopes for 2008.  It’s a fine line between brilliance and stupidity.  I’ve crossed over the line countless times in the last 18 months.  The positive out number the negatives; I can still play.  I also got straight As in school!  “Keep simple, stupid.”  In 2008, my New Years’ Resolution is to end the year satisfied with 2008.
