Unfortunately, the site is not yet completed. Several areas of the website require maintenance. I am very disappointed. Although I was assured it would be completed, I am going to have wait longer, probably the end of January. If any players are interested in joining the site, please create an account in the meant time. If you want to create an online poker account, please send an e-mail to admin@therailbirds.com. If you desire a site not listed, note the site in the e-mail. I may be able to work something out. At least I had a nice win today of around $1,200, but I’d rather the website be completed and running.
December 2007
I’m starting to feel it a bit. Although it seems it has been ages, I am sensing a monstrous winning streak. In the last 8 days, I have played around 40 hours, playing nearly 20,000 hands in the process. I am officially in the groove! Unless the stars align against me, the next few weeks are going to be very profitable. I have been successful in the past sensing, but it has been some time. However, I can honestly say, “I’m playing great!” Last night I spoke with Brandon and we had a great conversation about full ring NL. Going out with Hailey tonight for some beverages. Best of luck to all my friends playing in the 5 Diamond.
I have been playing very well lately. It has been quite some time since I have played so much. In fact, it has been 2.5 years since I have played so much in a 7-day period. Today, I played nearly 7 hours between three different sites. It was quite a grind, but I am very satisfied with the outcome (+900). Snow storms are expected Monday - Wednesday in Lake Tahoe, so Matt and I aren’t sure when we will be leaving Los Angeles. I have been very dedicated, playing thousands of hand. Overall, I am very satisfied, but the earnings are lacking. They will surely increase. If I continue playing well, as I have, It won’t be long before the never-ending losing streak is in the past. Mindset is of utmost importance in poker. At the stakes I am playing, if I am at an optimal state of mind and able to sustain for the amount of volume I desire, I am going to win. Since I am very confident in my abilities and of the inadequacy of the opponents at the level I am currently playing, it won’t be long before I am not embarrassed to proclaim myself as a professional poker player.
The semester is over and I am very satisfied with my efforts in school. In fact, it may indeed be the best report card I have ever had. Best of luck, Gbecks, entering Day 2 at Bellagio with 36K. Garrett is a phenomenal poker player. It won’t be long before I am a drunk railbird at a WPT final table again. Rock on, Gbecks!
I have (2) finals tomorrow. Then, I will lounge in L.A. for about a week. 2007 hasn’t been very enjoyable pokerwise. If I could, I’d fast-forward through the remaining few weeks. Hard work hasn’t been rewarded. Poker is a difficult profession. Unfortunately, living in Los Angeles is expensive. Therefore, the bankroll has suffered immensely.
In NFL Pick’em, I have been on fire lately, but I am still behind Reed. With (3) weeks remaining, I am only 2 points behind (Tie = 1, Win = 3). Also, Kansas is playing in a BCS bowl and St. Mary’s is ranked in the Top 25. They are both good news, but I need to start winning in poker. I am dedicated to play each day through the end of the month, except Christmas, for up to 8 hours. It will be a grind, but I have no other choice. Times haven’t been easy, but I can turn things around, waiting for it to do so wouldn’t be wise.
Cheers Lawrence!
