I really wanted to blog about my past week.. which was an adventure to say the least… but to be honest I cant think very well.. let alone type more then a few words a minute.  Anyways.. time to detox my body which is in some pain and get  back to the grind.

Recently, after being fucked  over by a person I have partial stake in but do not know, a guy I used to swim against in when I was younger (whom I told my brother , 100% he wont fuck us), and one of my best friends since middle school, I’ve realized that anybody has a price (unless money is truly no value to them).  Just about anybody will do anything for money, therefore its the perfect test of trust.  Fortunately, most of my friendships don’t involve these amounts of money and the opportunity.  I now have a completely different perspective on people in general.  I used to trust everybody, but now I understand that most untrustworthy people appear to be the most honest of people.  Which makes me think.

Anyways, on a lighter note.  I have been running good in poker. Besides the last couple sessions which I lost a little bit.  I really needed this week to get me back to liking poker a little more.  I need to put in 2 long sessions before I head off to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, then Indiana to see some friends from college, and then off to the Mens Big Ten swimming championships at purdue for a little college reuinion.  This break is much needed and hopefully I can make some money on the trip.  I struggle playing poker on the road for some reason..  Usually its a lack of motivation to play.. But Ill fight through it this time..  Anyways, ill be blogging on the road..

I ran really well today.. and it was a good time because i was playing 4 tables 2 3/6/ games and 2 5/10 games.  I grinded and was up about 1.2k before I played this hand…

anyways i flopped nut flush draw with ak on a kq8 board and got all in on the turn against 88.. and rivered the flush for 2k..

So I decided to start playing better lately and I have.. Unfortunately my results have not shown any proof of this.. Today was pretty lame.. I had kk vs aa twice in 5 minutes.. the first one for 800 the second one for 900..

The first one I couldnt get away from because I 3 bet to 66 and he shoved 750 over the top with aces and I obv am not folding even though it was 9 handed and he was under the gun..

I think I could have minimized the loss on this second one.  This was a really bad flop for me to shove becuase there is not much i can get called by and be good at this point.  I guess I could have called the flop and folded on the turn or just folded the flop.. But it was really hard considering i just had kk to aa 3 minutes before..

anyways.. hopefully i have good news next time…

So I decided to make my way out to commerce casino today ($500), mainly due to the fact of being pretty burnt out on online poker.  Nothing really went my way.  Won a a few small pots at the beggining holding my chip average at about 4k.  Lost a couple pots and got down to about 2.8k at 50/100. till this hand came up.

4 limpers and im in the BB with KhJh.. I really wanted to raise but these were the type of guys that would limp call anything so I just pushed my blind in.

Hopefully this is a lesson to me not to bluff but I thought this was a really good spot to make this play because I think that calling would not  be a  very good play with my stack size.  I was pretty sure he would fold most weak queens and pairs, because this was a 5-way pot.. but he had a solid read on me apparently.  Also the ace of hearts was exposed so he couldnt have the nut flush draw which made my hand look better and make him think its less likely for me to have a flush draw.. But obv amateurs don’t look that deep into hands.. so I guess that makes me the amateur today :)…Anyways I am not dissapointed at all because I was about a coinflip to double up, or back to over 4k if he folded… I just know im capable of grinding a little harder next time.. so I plan on doing that.

Anyways its been a pretty bad year with online poker so far.  Havent  been playing much but definately in the red for the year

So ive been taking a from tournaments because I felt like I was playing like crap.. I was also supposed go to the pca but i figured id save the money and grind in hopes to play a bunch of la poker classic events (im happy with my decision not to go… because if i didnt cash, i believe i would get in the make up mindset for the 15k trip, which would not do me well).  I really dont understand why i cant just play good.  I cosistanly make stupid plays for alot of money.. But I differ some stupid plays over other ones.. There are some plays where I get this feeling in my gut that says theres not much upside to this and you have to incur alot of risk and i just go all in anyways (and this feeling is pretty dead on i have noticed).. I have blown a ton of money this last week by just calling ang going all in for no apparent reason.. I relly need to fix this.. Although I did have a winning week.. I am not satisfied because i have made some huge mistakes in 5/10 which i seemingly cant get over.. I let these hands linger in my brain and cause me to make other stupid player because I am not paying attention.. Now that I have brought this to mine and the worlds attention that I have been playing like an idiot.. Im going to set things straight tomorrow and see how long I can hang on.  Please somehow let me win a major tomorrow

So I played really well for the most part today just playing cash 2/4 and 3/6.. I was up like 1000 then lost it and got even.. I saw a 510 game was running.. I lost like 400 in the first few minutes to some calling stations with bottom pair.  i started steaming and knew i should get out.. I was getting check raised every hand by a guy and just had enough.  I raise dwith j9 it came 982 all diamonds.  He check raised me to 110 and i called.. the turn came a 5.  He made a really big bet that i tough twas fish of 290 and the pot was at like 320.. I made the suicide call for some reason .. i still dont know why.. I rivered another diamond.. He checked it to me.. At this point im obligated to bluff.. so i bet 500 and he hits the time clock.. clocks it down to 1 second and then goes all in for my last 57 dollars…

I play well the whole day and throw it away on one stupid hand.  I didnt mind my bluff on the river.. it was my call on the turn.. which i put him on a big diamond the way he was playing.. and then when he checked the river i figured he could have 2 pair set something.. and prob looke dlike i had a big diamond.. anyways this hand was completely butched by me.  I ended up losing 1.2k for the day witch is really annoying because i was planning on playin for 2 more hours but was so pissed after i had to quit. Im such an idiot..

Today was a really emotional roller coaster for me.  I said some horrible things to my computer.. which I take back.. im sorry.. and my neighbors probably continue to think there is some sort of domestic disturbance going on over here.

My cash games have been getting better then before I went to vegas.  I was getting spewy and paying people off that used to be an eazy fold.  Anyways, the past few days I have paid off a few but getting better with what I think is the right fold.  Check out this hand I had in 5/10 last night..

After this.. I had a very painful bubble experience.  Anyways.. I blinded down to like 4 blinds (3k) in the 50 rebuy with 22 people left 15 cash.  Anyways I then pick up kq, aa, qq, aa and am in the chip lead 7 hands later with 60 k.   About 8 hands later the guy next to me opens for 2.4k, I raise to 7200k with kk (hes second in chips 1k shy of me), he reraises to 19.4k, I go all in for 60k.. he snaps and rolls over aces.  I now have 800 chips and manage to double a few times and get up to 10k at 600/1200.. go all in with 56 a couple off the button and get slow rolled by the big blind with a10 for a painful 16th place finish.

If it wasnt for that 5/10 hand that was given to me.  There may be a hole in mikes door. Cause my door has been replaced with a blanket.
